Sales Engineer (SE) for Secomea, Inc. (Americas)
Position Summary
Secomea is looking for an Americas Sales Engineer (SE) to help advance our mission to make manufacturing the most secure industry in the world.
As an SE, you will partner closely with Sales and our technical teams to understand customer challenges, design secure and scalable solutions, and establish Secomea as the customer’s preferred technical solution.
This is a highly customer-facing role spanning technical discovery, solution architecture, demonstrations, Proofs of Concept (PoCs), security reviews, and technical deal execution.
You will report operationally to the VP, Secomea Inc. (Americas), with a functional dotted line to the Sr. Director, Global Customer Success.
Mission: win as the preferred technical solution and de-risk the deal.
You will own the technical dimensions of assigned sales opportunities from qualification and discovery through solution design, validation, and close. You will work alongside Sales to ensure customer requirements and decision criteria are understood, technical risks are identified early, and Secomea’s solution is successfully validated against the customer’s desired outcomes.
A significant part of the role is leading structured PoCs that result in a clear technical conclusion—not open-ended technical projects.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Discovery & Solution Design
Lead technical discovery across customer OT, IT, networking, and cybersecurity stakeholders.
Understand customer challenges, architecture, security requirements, use cases, decision criteria, and technical risks.
Translate requirements into secure, scalable Secomea solution architectures.
Deliver targeted demonstrations tailored to the customer’s environment and desired outcomes.
Connect Secomea’s technical capabilities to operational and business value.
Identify and address technical risks and objections before they become deal blockers.
Proofs of Concept & Technical Validation
Own customer PoCs from planning through technical validation and conclusion.
Define clear scope, success criteria, responsibilities, timelines, requirements, and decision points before each PoC begins.
Configure Secomea solutions and coordinate testing within customer environments.
Work directly with customer OT, IT, networking, and cybersecurity teams.
Manage technical blockers, dependencies, risks, and next steps to maintain momentum.
Coordinate with Implementation, Support, Product, and R&D when additional expertise is required.
Present PoC results and technical conclusions to customer stakeholders.
Partner with Sales to convert successful technical validation into the next commercial step.
Technical Deal Execution
Own the technical solution strategy for assigned opportunities.
Support RFIs, RFPs, security reviews, and customer technical due diligence.
Develop solution architectures, technical proposals, implementation considerations, and recommendations.
Position Secomea’s technical differentiation against alternative approaches.
Build credibility and trusted relationships with customer technical stakeholders.
Ensure technical decision criteria, risks, dependencies, and actions are understood throughout the sales process.
Work with Sales to remove technical blockers and advance opportunities toward a customer decision.
Continuous Improvement
Capture opportunity requirements, PoC results, technical risks, decision criteria, and next steps in Salesforce.
Identify recurring objections, competitive challenges, and technical patterns across opportunities.
Share customer and market insights with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Marketing.
Help continuously improve Secomea’s technical playbooks, demonstrations, solution designs, and sales engineering practices.

Troubleshoot technical challenges systematically and engage additional expertise when needed.
Explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences.
Build credibility with OT engineers, IT teams, cybersecurity professionals, and technical decision-makers.
Balance technical depth with an understanding of customer and commercial outcomes.
Take ownership and keep technical evaluations moving toward a decision.
Desired Experience: demonstrated capability, more than a specific degree or previous job title.
Candidates should bring strong experience in at least one of these areas:
Sales Engineering / Pre-Sales
Operational Technology (OT)
Cybersecurity
Experience spanning two or more is a strong advantage. Additional relevant experience:
Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Solution Architecture, Technical Consulting, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
Enterprise B2B sales and complex buying environments.
Designing and executing customer PoCs or technical pilots.
Networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or industrial OT environments.
Manufacturing, machine builders, industrial automation, or critical infrastructure.
Enterprise security reviews and technical due diligence.
Strong technical presentation and demonstration skills.
Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, Support, Implementation, and R&D.
