Starting Salary is $100,000 per year plus generous incentive package; negotiable based on relevant prior experiences.
The Sales Director plays a key leadership role in shaping and driving the sales culture at The Plaza Assisted Living. This position oversees sales strategy, census development, team training, and operational support across multiple communities. You’ll partner closely with Sales Managers and community teams, ensuring a unified approach to sales performance, customer service, and occupancy management. This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role that involves engaging with prospects, conducting tours, managing inquiries, and consistently closing sales. The Sales Director also supports admission functions when needed and contributes to the development of annual Sales Plans and census goals.
What You’ll Do:
Sales Strategy & Leadership
Grow census across all Plaza communities
Develop monthly and annual Sales Plans with leadership
Provide coaching, mentoring, and evaluation for Sales Managers
Lead improvements in sales processes, programs, and overall performance
Operational Support
Serve as a super user for CRM and Sales Training programs
Use CRM data to guide decision-making and identify opportunities
Step in as Sales Manager when support is needed at any community
Submit accurate and timely reports to the Executive Team
Prospect & Referral Engagement
Take inquiries, conduct tours, and plan prospect and referral events
Build strong rapport with guests and their families
Educate prospects on community services, amenities, and care options
Maintain organized tracking systems and updated referral/prospect databases
Strengthen relationships with referral sources, including healthcare providers and community organizations
Collaboration & Market Awareness
Partner with Advertising and Digital Marketing teams
Advise community leadership on sales and marketing strategies
Participate in budgeting and maintain department budgets
Conduct ongoing research on market needs, competition, and industry trends
Support community and company-wide events
Requirements:
Proven sales experience, ideally in senior living or healthcare is preferred
Demonstrated success developing and coaching sales teams
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Health Administration, or related field preferred (high school diploma or equivalent required)
Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
Ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Resilient, goal-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of senior care and the aging process is preferred
Strong attention to detail and proficiency in CRM/lead management systems
Collaborative team player with a passion for serving seniors
CPR and First Aid certification (required)
Current two-step TB clearance (required)
Completion of all organizational training and employment documentation
Compliance with Hawaii Department of Health regulations (Title 11, Chapter 90)
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
Full-time role with weekend availability for events and tours
Combination of office, community-based work, and occasional off-site outreach
Frequent interaction with residents, families, team members, and partners
Frequent walking during tours; occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs)
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and push/pull as needed
Requires emotional resilience, professionalism, and compassion
