What will you be doing?

·         Answer and distribute inbound phone calls to the sales and events office. Communicate with existing and prospective clients via telephone, personal contact, outside calls, correspondence, email and other means of communication. 

·         Conduct hotel site tours and represent the property at industry events, and networking opportunities to generate business and promote hotel services and facilities.

·         Assist in the preparation of proposals, contracts, correspondence, and sales documents in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.

·         Coordinate event details and logistics with clients and internal departments to ensure all requirements and expectations are communicated and executed successfully.

·         Create and manage event orders, reports, diagrams, and related documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established deadlines.

·         Maintain expert knowledge of hotel facilities, meeting space, event setups, capacities, and operational requirements, including creating event diagrams through designated software platforms.

·         Assist with the booking, planning, and execution of internal meetings, events, and special projects as assigned.

·         Participate in operational, departmental, business review, and pre-event meetings to facilitate communication, planning, and service excellence.

·         Support guest satisfaction and client retention efforts through proactive follow-up, post-event communication, issue resolution, and relationship management.

·         Support sales and marketing initiatives, including content creation, photography, adherence to brand standards, company policies, and performance of additional duties as assigned.

·         Abilitytoprofessionallyhandleguestandemployeeconcernsbydemonstratingempathy,problem-solvingskills,andacommitmenttoserviceexcellence.

·         ProficiencyinMicrosoftOfficeapplications,particularlyWordandExcel;experiencewithMarriottsystemsandeventmanagementsoftwarepreferred.

·         Strongorganizationalskillswithexceptionalattentiontodetail,accuracy,andtheabilitytomanagemultipleprioritiesanddeadlines.

·         Analyticalandmathematicalskillsnecessarytocalculateroomblocks,eventcosts,budgets,forecasts,rates,andothersales-relatedmetrics.

·         Abilitytolearnandunderstandhoteloperations,eventspaces,marketsegments,facilities,menus,andsalesstrategiestoeffectivelysupportclientsandbusinessobjectives.

·         Abilitytoconducthoteltours,attendclientmeetings,representthehotelprofessionally,andtravelforoutsidesalesactivitiesasneeded.
