Description

Hendrick Honda Hickory

Location: 945 US Highway 70, SE, Hickory, North Carolina 28603

Join a Hickory Dealership That’s Building for the Future.

Hendrick Honda Hickory is investing in our showroom and service department, and we’re investing in the people who serve our customers. We’re looking for a Sales Consultant who enjoys helping neighbors find the right vehicle and wants to build a career in the community they call home.

Hendrick Automotive Group is the nation’s largest privately held automotive group, voted #1 for online reputation six years in a row (Reputation.com) and a back-to-back winner of Automotive News’ Best Dealerships to Work For.

About the Role:
You’ll welcome customers, learn what they need, and guide them to the right vehicle. Our customers are often neighbors, friends, and families we see around town, so trust and follow-through matter as much as the sale. You’ll show our inventory, lead test drives, walk customers through pricing and financing, and stay in touch long after they drive off the lot.

Pay:

Earn up to $100,000+ per year.

What You’ll Do:

  • Greet customers, listen to their needs, and recommend the right vehicle.
  • Lead product walk-arounds and test drives.
  • Explain pricing, financing, and trade-in values clearly and fairly.
  • Introduce helpful add-ons like warranties, accessories, and service packages.
  • Keep in touch with customers through calls, texts, and follow-ups before and after the sale.
  • Record customer interactions accurately in our customer database.
  • Work with sales support to keep track of available inventory.
  • Keep learning about our vehicles and the market, and use feedback to grow.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A customer-first attitude, and a hands-on, get-it-done work ethic.
  • Customer service experience (retail, hospitality, trades, restaurants, and similar fields all count).
  • Clear, friendly communication and the confidence to hold a good conversation.
  • A genuine interest in serving your community.
  • Valid Driver’s License is required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Sales or dealership experience is a plus, but not required. We provide paid training, and motivated newcomers are encouraged to apply.

What We Offer:

  • Performance-based pay plan with bonuses.
  • 100% paid training and a structured Sales Onboarding Program.
  • Zero-premium medical and prescription coverage.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Paid time off, vacation, and sick days.
  • Basic life insurance.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Employee discounts and recognition programs.
  • Newly upgraded facilities.
  • Real growth potential with the largest privately owned auto group in the country.

Schedule:
Full time, rotating day, evening, and weekend shifts. The dealership is open Monday through Sunday, 8:30am to 8:00pm. Regular, predictable attendance is required.

Work Environment:
You’ll be on your feet and on the move, indoors and out on the lot, and out on test drives with customers. You’ll work closely with our sales, finance, and service teams.

Our Core Values:
Servant Leadership · Teamwork · Integrity · Commitment to Customer Enthusiasm · Passion for Winning · Accountability at All Levels · Commitment to Continuous Improvement
