    About the Opportunity

Our client is a highly respected, 100% employee-owned manufacturers' representative specializing in HVAC systems, indoor air quality, and architectural noise control solutions across the mid-Atlantic region. They serve technically demanding end markets including Healthcare, Pharma, Mission Critical, Education, and Government, and are known for their consultative approach, long-term client relationships, and commitment to solving complex building performance challenges. This is a full-cycle, territory-ownership role with strong income potential and one of the most competitive benefits packages in the rep-firm space.

    What You'll Do

    • Develop and execute a structured sales plan (Sandler Cookbook methodology) covering territory management, market segment prioritization, and activity tracking across prospecting, appointments, site surveys, and forecasting
    • Build and grow relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, and end-users across Healthcare, Pharma, Industrial, Education, Government, Commercial, and Mission Critical market segments
    • Drive product specifications at the A&E level for noise control, air filtration, HVAC, and vibration isolation product lines
    • Interpret architectural and mechanical drawings to identify opportunities and configure technically accurate solutions
    • Coordinate factory quotes and scopes of work, compile contractor proposals, and manage the full bid and award process
    • Manage project execution from purchase order verification through order entry, submittals, and project closeout
    • Represent the company at trade shows, association events, lunch & learns, and client entertainment activities
    • Maintain competitive intelligence including product applications, pricing, lead times, and service capabilities across key competitors
    • Utilize manufacturer analytics, LCC tools, and multimedia presentations to support solution selling and client decision-making
    • Travel within the territory as required (estimated 15–20%)

    What You'll Need

    • Proven track record in B2B technical or specification-based sales — HVAC, noise control, architectural products, mechanical systems, or related field strongly preferred
    • Familiarity with or strong willingness to learn architectural acoustics, noise control, and indoor air quality product applications
    • Ability to read and interpret architectural and mechanical construction drawings
    • Proficiency in a structured sales methodology (Sandler or equivalent) — prospecting, qualifying, presenting, handling objections, and closing
    • Strong relationship-building skills with architects, engineers, specifiers, general contractors, and end-user decision-makers
    • Detail-oriented and organized — capable of managing concurrent bids, purchase orders, submittals, and project documentation
    • Skilled negotiator with the ability to defend value and avoid selling on price alone
    • Effective written and verbal communicator; able to produce clear, professional proposals and correspondence
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams); experience with Bluebeam and Adobe a plus
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or technical certifications in relevant fields a plus
    • Self-motivated, accountable, and capable of operating with high autonomy in a territory ownership model

    Why This Role

This is a rare opportunity to join a 100% employee-owned firm where your contributions directly impact your equity stake — with 100% employer-paid healthcare, EBITDA bonus eligibility, ESOP participation, and a 401(k) rounding out a benefits package that is genuinely difficult to match in this space. If you want to own a territory, build something, and be rewarded for it, this is the role.
