    Overview of the Position:

    The Sales & Commercial Director is responsible for leading global sales and business development efforts to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen customer relationships. This role provides leadership to the sales team, develops commercial strategies, manages key customer accounts, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver business objectives and customer satisfaction.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lead, develop, coach, and manage the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue and growth objectives.
    • Develop and execute global sales and business development strategies to expand market share and drive growth in targeted industries.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while establishing performance goals and growth initiatives.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners to support long-term business success and customer retention.
    • Collaborate with key account managers to develop customer-focused solutions, proposals, pricing strategies, and commercial agreements.
    • Oversee and manage the entire sales process, including prospecting, quoting, negotiations, contract execution, and account management.
    • Partner with operations, customer support, and other cross-functional teams to ensure customer expectations are met and services are delivered effectively.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive position.
    • Track, analyze, and report sales performance metrics and customer activity to support business decision-making and continuous improvement.
    • Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events while supporting global business development initiatives.
    • Manage sales-related budgets and expenditures, including travel, customer engagement, and business development activities.
    • Travel domestically and internationally as required to support customer relationships, key accounts, and growth objectives.

    Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams within the aerospace, defense, power generation, or related industries.
    • Strong technical knowledge of gas turbines, aircraft engines, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, and related aftermarket solutions.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales and business development strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion.
    • Proven ability to establish, develop, and maintain strong customer relationships with key stakeholders across the aerospace, industrial, and defense sectors.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and close high-value business opportunities.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills, including experience managing remote and geographically dispersed teams.
    • Ability to analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to support strategic decision-making.
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance customer requirements, operational capabilities, and profitability objectives.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
