About the role

BDA develops restoration-industry salespeople into consistent top performers. Training is where it starts; the Sales Coach is where it sticks. In this remote role, you take salespeople who've completed our Sales Mastery program and, through disciplined weekly coaching, turn that training into sustained field performance — holding each rep accountable to a plan and developing them steadily beyond what they believe they're capable of.

This is not a check-in job. You own your reps' activity, their execution, and ultimately their results — and you're measured not only on whether they hit their goals, but on whether you helped them become more than they thought they could be.

What you'll do

•  Run a structured weekly coaching cadence with each salesperson — a kickoff to set the week, and a one-on-one to review progress against the sales plan and set the week ahead.
•  Hold reps accountable to their plan: the right quantity of activity, and the skillful execution of it — catching drift early, while it's still correctable, rather than at month-end when the number is already missed.
•  Coach the craft — the SMR selling model and pyramid (motive/pain, financial, decision process, commitment), prospecting, the at-the-desk meeting, objection handling, and the farming discipline where the real money is made.
•  Own pipeline health with each rep: new prospects added on cadence, a current and actively worked top-ten list, and deals that move rather than stall.
•  Diagnose what's actually holding a rep back — a skill gap or an ego threat — and coach accordingly, knowing when to be a cheerleader and when to push someone past the edge of their comfort zone.
•  Record your coaching conversations and run them through our coaching-analysis protocol, using the feedback to sharpen how you work with each individual.
•  Maintain CRM discipline and accurate weekly numbers — if it's not in the CRM, it didn't happen.
•  Represent BDA well in every client interaction — sounding like a professional who has a program and knows exactly what they're doing.

  The standard we hold you to

  What separates a BDA coach from a friendly check-in:

• Same side of the table. You don't avoid uncomfortable situations. When there's a problem, you name it and get on top of it — because glossing over it is worse than the problem itself.
• You have the hard conversation. Direct, caring, and clear. Your job is to help people move through discomfort to achieve more than they think they can — not to keep every conversation pleasant.
• You cover the fundamentals. The "101" things — the plan is built and worked, the tools are set up, the top-ten is current — are never optional.
• You own your role. Your reps' activity, execution, and revenue are yours to own, along with getting the most out of every person you coach.
• Problems come with solutions. When you raise an issue, you bring a proposed fix with it.
• You're always learning. You treat coaching as a craft to keep sharpening, and you use every tool that makes you better at it.

  Who you need to be

• Comfortable holding people accountable. This is the core of the role. If direct conversations and firm expectations sit outside your comfort zone, this isn't the seat — but if you can pair genuine warmth with real teeth, you'll thrive here.
• A developer of people, not just a teller of answers. You draw out a rep's own thinking and build their capability, rather than simply handing over your playbook.
• A diagnostician. You read people well — you can tell a confidence problem from a competence problem and coach the right one.
• Fluent in consultative selling. You've sold successfully yourself, ideally through consultative, relationship- and referral-based methods, and you can teach what you've done.
• Self-directed and disciplined. Remote work with a portfolio of reps across the country demands strong planning and follow-through of your own.
• Comfortable with technology. CRM systems and AI-assisted coaching tools are part of the daily work.

  How the role works

  Location: Remote (U.S.).
• Structure: Weekly kickoff plus weekly one-on-ones with each assigned salesperson, and ongoing pipeline and plan oversight.Portfolio: 30 salespeople across the Continental United States at a variety of different companies.
• Reports to: BDA President.

  Why it matters

  The best salespeople aren't simply hired — they're developed. In this role, you're the person who does that developing, one rep at a time, week after week. When a salesperson turns to their owner and says, "I had no idea I could accomplish this" — that's the job, done right.

  Requirements

  Required Experience

  A track record of success in B2B sales, ideally consultative and referral-driven (restoration-industry experience is a plus, not a requirement). 5+ years of experience is ideal.
•     Coaching, mentoring, or sales-management experience is valued — or the clear aptitude and genuine willingness to develop it quickly.Familiarity with a defined sales methodology (Sandler, SPIN, or similar) is a strong plus.Comfort with CRM platforms and a willingness to use AI-assisted analysis tools.

  Compensation & Logistics

  • Base salary: $75,000 - $95,000 depending on experience.

  • Initial 30-day onboarding focused on BDA methodology, client systems, and rep portfolio familiarization.
