In this role, you will help customers find the right products and equipment, provide exceptional service, and ensure a smooth experience from checkout to rental return. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, professional service
- Assist customers with product selection, rentals, fittings, and general inquiries
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Prepare, inspect, and maintain rental equipment according to company standards
- Support rental check-in and check-out procedures, including documentation and equipment tracking
- Keep the sales floor, rental area, and workspaces clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Answer product questions and provide clear information about features, pricing, and availability
- Resolve customer concerns in a courteous and solution-oriented manner
- Assist with restocking, merchandising, and inventory organization
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily operational goals
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, sales, or equipment rental is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service in a busy environment
- Basic computer and point-of-sale system skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions and equipment
- Ability to follow procedures and work independently or as part of a team
- Dependable, organized, and adaptable to changing priorities
- Willingness to learn product knowledge and rental processes
Preferred Skills
- Experience with rental equipment, outdoor gear, or sporting goods
- Knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory practices
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a positive customer experience
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods and lifting equipment as needed
