POSITION OVERVIEW
Our client is seeking a polished, motivated, and sales-driven Sales Associate to join our fine jewelry showroom team. This is an opportunity for someone who loves people, luxury, relationship-based selling, and the art of creating meaningful client experiences.
This role is ideal for someone who is not simply looking for a retail position, but wants to build a long-term career in fine jewelry sales with the opportunity to grow into future leadership over time.

What You’ll Do
Deliver an Elevated Client Experience- Welcome clients into the showroom and provide a warm, polished, and personalized experience.
- Assist clients with engagement rings, wedding bands, fine jewelry, custom designs, repairs, special orders, and milestone purchases.
- Build strong client relationships through thoughtful communication, follow-up, and attention to detail.
- Help clients feel educated, confident, and excited about their purchase.
- Represent our client with professionalism, discretion, and care.
Drive Sales and Build Client Relationships- Work toward individual sales goals while contributing to overall showroom success.
- Proactively follow up with clients, past customers, leads, and inquiries.
- Participate in clienteling, outreach, cold calling, and relationship-building efforts.
- Look for opportunities to grow business through referrals, community involvement, networking, and local relationship-building.
- Take ownership of your sales pipeline and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency.
Learn and Grow in Fine Jewelry- Develop strong knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, metals, bridal styles, custom jewelry, repairs, and fine jewelry trends.
- Participate in training and ongoing learning to strengthen product knowledge and sales skills.
- Learn how to guide clients through emotional and high-value purchasing decisions.
- Stay curious, coachable, and committed to becoming a trusted jewelry professional.
Support the Showroom and Team- Help maintain a beautiful, clean, organized, and luxury-level showroom environment.
- Assist with displays, merchandising, product presentation, inventory organization, and daily showroom operations.
- Support client appointments, events, promotions, and outreach initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with ownership, management, and the broader team to create a positive and service-focused environment.
Experience & Qualifications
We are seeking an experienced fine jewelry sales professional who brings strong industry knowledge, a proven ability to build lasting client relationships, and a desire to continue growing within the organization.
Required Qualifications:- Minimum of 5 years of recent, relevant sales experience within the fine jewelry industry.
- GIA Graduate Gemologist (GG) diploma, or currently actively working toward completion of the GIA Graduate Gemologist program.
- Demonstrated success in relationship-based, consultative fine jewelry sales.
- Strong working knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, precious metals, bridal jewelry, and fine jewelry.
- Proven experience with clienteling, follow-up, outreach, and developing long-term client relationships.
- Comfortable working toward individual sales goals and performance expectations.
- Polished, professional communication skills and the ability to provide an elevated client experience.
- Strong sense of accountability, urgency, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Long-Term Growth Opportunity
Our client is looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career with the organization. For the right individual, this position is intended to provide a pathway toward a future Sales Manager role.
This is not an immediate management position. The successful candidate will first be expected to establish themselves as a strong individual sales contributor, demonstrate leadership through their performance and professionalism, and develop a strong understanding of our client clients, culture, and business.
As the individual grows within the organization, future leadership responsibilities may include:
- Supporting and coaching members of the sales team.
- Helping drive individual and overall showroom sales performance.
- Supporting clienteling, outreach, and business development strategies.
- Assisting with sales goals, performance tracking, and accountability.
- Supporting day-to-day showroom leadership and team communication.
- Leading by example through sales performance, client service, professionalism, and follow-through.
- Helping foster a collaborative, accountable, and client-focused sales culture.
Schedule
This is a full-time, in-person position.
Typical schedule:
- Tuesday through Friday, approximately 10:30 AM to 6:15 PM
- Saturday, approximately 9:30 AM to 5:15 PM
- Occasional evening events, approximately 5 to 6 times per year
Compensation and Benefits
Our client offers a competitive compensation package, including:
- Hourly compensation starting at $30 per hour, with potential up to $35 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
