Job Description:
Client is seeking a Sales Analytics Analyst to serve as a strategic partner to Sales Leadership by delivering data-driven insights, performance analytics, and reporting that support business decisions and improve commercial outcomes.
The Sales Analytics Analyst will be responsible for analyzing sales performance, identifying trends and opportunities, developing scalable reporting solutions, and translating complex data into actionable recommendations for leadership and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze sales performance trends across teams, territories, products, and customer segments.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales effectiveness, productivity, and revenue performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into leading and lagging business metrics.
- Conduct ad hoc and deep-dive analyses to support strategic priorities and leadership decisions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions using Power BI, Salesforce, Excel, and other BI tools.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and visually compelling reporting for sales leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Translate complex data into clear business narratives and actionable recommendations.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of sales reporting and KPI definitions.
- Partner with sales leaders and stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify data-driven solutions.
- Support strategic initiatives through analytical modeling, performance measurement, and outcome analysis.
- Improve reporting automation and analytics processes to increase efficiency and scalability.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in Sales Analytics, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Consulting, or related analytical roles.
- Experience analyzing sales performance, KPIs, trends, and business metrics.
- Experience creating dashboards, scorecards, reports, and executive-level presentations.
- Experience partnering with sales leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
- B2B sales analytics experience is preferred.
- Experience with reporting automation and data modeling is preferred.
- Python experience is a plus.
Skillsets:
- Advanced SQL and Excel skills.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, or similar reporting and BI tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and KPIs.
- Experience building dashboards and data visualization solutions.
- Ability to analyze data and identify meaningful trends, opportunities, and business insights.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
- Experience developing executive-level reporting and presentations.
- Ability to partner effectively with sales leadership and business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of data modeling and reporting automation is preferred.
- Python experience is preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
