Sales Account Manager - Atlanta, GA (Remote)

Mercy BioAnalytics, Inc., is a biotechnology company dedicated to reducing suffering and saving lives through the early detection of cancer. Backed by extensive clinical validation, we are advancing one of the most important innovations in modern medicine: detecting cancer at its earliest, most treatable stages through a simple blood draw.

We are looking for a passionate individual to join our Commercial team, whose mission is to launch the Mercy Halo test portfolio and enable appropriately phased patient awareness and access through multiple direct and indirect channels.

The Sales Account Manager will play a critical role in bringing Mercy's innovative diagnostic tests to market and driving their adoption among clinicians, patients, and partners. They will be responsible for acquiring new accounts, managing, expanding and retaining key accounts while driving utilization of an early ovarian cancer screening test across assigned territories or strategic health system accounts. This role requires strong clinical acumen, experience navigating complex healthcare systems, and the ability to influence multiple stakeholders including physicians, administrators, and executive leadership. The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor, capable of translating clinical value into operational and economic impact, and experienced in diagnostics, lab testing, or oncology-focused selling.

Candidates for this position must enjoy working for a fast-paced, innovative company, be able to work in a highly collaborative and teamwork-oriented environment and exhibit a passion for being a part of our life-saving mission.

Responsibilities:

Account Management & Growth

  • Own and manage a portfolio of OB/GYN Clinics, Concierge Clinics, Primary Care Physicians, Health Systems, IDNs and Oncology.
  • Drive test adoption, utilization growth, and long-term account expansion by building pathways and protocols within accounts.
  • Develop and execute account plans aligned with clinical, operational, and financial goals
  • Identify upselling and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts

Clinical & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with OB-GYNs, gynecologic oncologists, pathologists, lab directors, nurse navigators, and administrators
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clinical education, workflow optimization, and ongoing support
  • Facilitate in-services, educational programs, and value-based discussions
  • Effectively communicate clinical data, outcomes evidence, and real-world use cases

Health System Navigation

  • Navigate complex decision-making processes within IDNs and hospital systems
  • Partner with value analysis, population health, and quality teams
  • Support contracting, reimbursement discussions, and payer-related workflows
  • Collaborate with internal teams (medical affairs, marketing, operations, reimbursement)

Performance & Reporting

  • Achieve and exceed volume-based and revenue-based goals
  • Track account performance and utilization trends
  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation and forecasts
  • Provide market insights and competitive intelligence to leadership

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced degree a plus
  • 7+ years of healthcare sales or account management experience
  • 5+ years in diagnostics, laboratory testing, molecular testing, oncology, or women's health
  • Proven success managing large, complex accounts or health systems
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and physician adoption cycles
  • Ability to travel up to 70%

Preferred

  • Experience launching or scaling a new diagnostic test
  • Familiarity with ovarian cancer, women's health, or oncology pathways
  • Experience working with IDNs, GPOs, or integrated health systems
  • Knowledge of reimbursement, CPT codes, and payer dynamics
