Job Description

The Sales Account Manager within the Aerospace & Defense sector will lead the day-to-day sales activity, services assigned accounts while building a funnel to meet sales objectives. This position reports to the Senior Vice-President of Sales.

Responsibilities

Create and utilize best laid out marketing approach to both assigned and new clients

Self-generate leads through research and initial contact eventually introducing leadership to drive closure on deal success

Establish and build a trusted advisor and credible business and technical consultant relationship with clients and sales executives

Lead the sales process from customer identification through contract including proposal management and pricing

Work with Engineering, Recruiting and Finance teams to accomplish business goals

Meet or exceed sales goals including revenue, bookings and margin targets.

Manage account post-sale to maintain customer satisfaction

Provide through proper channels voice of the customer insight on market, products, and opportunities

Maintain a sales pipeline and accurate forecasts

Develop a strong high-level knowledge of the entire digital enterprise product design and manufacturing portfolio

Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners to develop key relationships

Work on strategic opportunities with BAAs parent company, HCL Technologies (220,000 employees in 53 countries)

Education & Experience Requirements

Engineering Degree or Degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing

At least 3 years in a sales/account management role (experience in selling digital solutions a plus)

Must be highly self-motivated, high energy, and strong interpersonal skills

Strong Business acumen

Must be able to travel 30% of the time

Work location: Remote or Hybrid Remote/Office

Qualifications

Excellent understanding of the Aerospace and Defense industries

Must be able to hunt, generate, qualify leads and farm existing ones

Must know how to construct a sales account plan of attack

Ability to identify decision-makers and build strong relationships with customers

Excellent communication and presentation skills; must be dynamic in presenting ideas to clients and prospective clients

Self-starter, motivated and able to work with a minimum of direct supervision

Mentality of a Closer

Must be open to an average of 30% travel, almost exclusively domestic

Proven record of ability to present engineering and digital solutions in front of groups while incorporating specific selling techniques

Cross-cultural relation

High proficiency in Microsoft Office
