Description of Work
The Salary Administration Specialist supports centralized human resource operations by reviewing, evaluating, and approving salary requests in accordance with OSHR and Department of Adult Correction policies. This position assesses applicants’ qualifications and provides final approval of employment requests to ensure internal pay equity. The Specialist is responsible for processing personnel actions in the HR/Payroll System related to hiring and salary adjustments. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, effective time-management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Demonstrated experience approving salary actions using salary administration, pay philosophies, and/or compensation policies.

Demonstrated experience using HR systems or Enterprise Resource Platforms (ERPs) to process or review compensation‑related actions.
Proven experience preparing clear and concise summaries or justification notes to support compensation decisions.

The Division of Human Resources provides support and strategic direction for personnel operations within the Department of Adult Correction. Associate's degree, typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution and two (2) years of experience required
