Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide training and support to employees on safety practices and emergency response protocols.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain safety records and reports, ensuring accurate documentation of safety-related activities.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in safety management.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
- Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) are a plus.
