Safety Technician (EM-385 Certified) - Box Elder, SD

CCS Construction Staffing is seeking an experienced Safety Technician with an active EM-385 certification for a military project in Box Elder, SD. This role requires a safety professional who can effectively enforce protocols, ensure compliance, and communicate safety standards clearly on an active commercial/industrial jobsite.

This is a full-time assignment, 50 hours per week. Applicants must be able to maintain compliance with all site safety requirements.

Pay Rate

Position Details

• Full-time, 50 hours per week

Scope of Work

• Enforce all company and site-specific safety policies and procedures
• Ensure all personnel are compliant with EM-385 standards
• Conduct routine hazard inspections and identify potential risks
• Lead toolbox talks in clear, easy-to-understand language
• Maintain accurate documentation of safety meetings, inspections, and incidents
• Assist with incident reporting and corrective actions
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture on-site

Requirements

• Active EM-385 Certification (Required)
• Previous construction safety experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of jobsite safety practices and hazard recognition
• Ability to communicate effectively with crews and management
• Ability to commit to 50 hours per week
• Reliable transportation
• Remain drug-free on the jobsite
