Safety Technician - 1 - O - SPC13

Position Title: Safety Technician 

Location: Clarksville, TN

Compensation: $28+/hr. DOE | Per Diem: $4,515 | W2 Full Time | Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental and other voluntary benefits 

Position Overview  

The entry level Safety Technician supports daily field safety operations by helping maintain a safe, compliant, and organized job site. This role assists with inspections, hazard identification, safety documentation, and basic compliance support under the direction of the Safety Manager or site leadership.

Key Responsibilities  

• Implement and enforce site-specific safety programs in alignment with OSHA regulations and project requirements

• Conduct daily safety walks, audits, and site inspections

• Maintain accurate EHS documentation and ensure full regulatory compliance

• Conduct routine site walkthroughs and field safety observations

• Identify, document, and communicate potential safety hazards

• Assist with checking equipment, work areas, and site conditions for safety compliance

• Verify proper use and condition of personal protective equipment

• Support basic environmental safety checks, such as air quality or noise monitoring, as needed

• Maintain inspection logs, safety records, and equipment maintenance documentation

• Assist with preparing safety reports for management

• Help coordinate or support employee safety training sessions

• Reinforce safe work practices and OSHA/project safety standards

• Promote a strong safety culture across the job site

• Other duties as assigned based on site needs

Required Experience & Qualifications 

• 1-3+ years of Construction Safety experience

• OSHA 30 Certification 

• NFPA 70E (current)

• First Aid/CPR certification and AED Certification from American Heart Association, Red Cross and/or similar (ability to obtain within the first 30 days of being onsite)

• Strong communication, and field decision-making ability 

• Ability to enforce quality and safety standards in real time 

• Commitment to accountability, safety, and quality 

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)  

• Associate degree, trade school, technical certification, or related field experience preferred

• Ability to analyze safety data and trends to drive continuous improvement

• Experience working on data center, mission-critical, or high-tech construction projects
