About the Role
The Safety Services Supervisor provides daily leadership, supervision, and coordination of Safety Services operations across New Freedom facilities. This role oversees Safety Associates, monitors facility safety and security operations, responds to operational concerns, supports emergency response efforts, and ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures. The Safety Services Supervisor plays a key role in creating a safe, professional, trauma-informed environment that supports both member recovery and operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Leading daily Safety Services operations and ensuring safety procedures are followed consistently
- Supervising, coaching, mentoring, and developing Safety Associates and assigned personnel
- Monitoring facility grounds, common areas, inspections, patrols, and safety-related activities
- Responding to incidents, emergencies, behavioral concerns, and operational issues
- Reviewing incident reports, documentation, investigations, and follow-up actions
- Supporting workplace safety initiatives, training programs, emergency preparedness efforts, and risk reduction strategies
- Collaborating with clinical, admissions, facilities, transportation, and operational teams
- Promoting a safe, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented environment for all members and staff

What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED (Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Public Safety, Emergency Management, Behavioral Health, Business, or a related field preferred)
- Minimum two years of supervisory, leadership, or team lead experience (plus three or more years of safety, security, corrections, military, emergency response, or related experience preferred)
- Strong communication, leadership, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to supervise staff, manage priorities, and make sound decisions in dynamic situations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic documentation systems
- Ability to navigate facilities, grounds, and operational environments effectively
- Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, residential treatment, recovery, or reentry settings preferred
- Experience conducting investigations, incident management, or risk-management activities preferred
- Peer and Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) Certification preferred
