    Job Title: Safety Supervisor

    Department: Safety

    Reports To: HR - Safety Manager & GM

    Weekly Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. (overtime required as necessary)

    Status: Non-Exempt

    RESPONSIBILITY

    Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of the health and safety department. Ensure that employees follow health and safety regulations and supervise operations to promote the safety and well-being of our employees. To include supporting HR and other assigned administrative duties.

    DUTIES

    Essential Functions

    Conduct safety walk-through daily to ensure the removal of workplace hazards

    Support Production Team in meeting their goals in a safe manner

    Maintain safety documentation with regards to government compliance and company policy

    Review annually all safety-related programs to ensure compliance

    Prepare all safety meeting agendas and conduct all safety-related training or other meetings for to Forklift Operators, Drivers, Production Associates, General Safety, and the Safety Committee

    Monitor the removal of biological, physical, or chemical hazards from a workplace

    Provide safety training for employees on policies, regulations, and procedures

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date training board postings throughout the facility

    Advise the company's administrative team on safety issues and compliance for spec

    ific projects and operations

    Inspect and verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations

    Maintain accurate and current records for all safety-related training and other safety-related documentation in accordance with guidelines

    Analyze incident reports, metrics, and injury case studies and institute changes that lead to a safer environment

    Manage the ordering of safety supplies, including: PPE, equipment, tools, etc.

    Other:

    Assist management as needed with inventory and trailer count sheets

    Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and processing along with terminations

    Follow written and verbal instructions

    Other tasks and projects assigned

    Physical Demands:

    Constant (5-8 hrs/day): Sitting, Typing, Talking, Hearing

    Frequent (2-5 hrs/day): Standing, Walking, Reaching

    Rarely: Lifting up to 50 lbs.

    Skills required:

    An intermediate level of knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel

    Attention to detail in all work tasks

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Regular attendance and acceptable attendance record on-site to accomplish work tasks
