Safety Specialist – Tulsa

Compensation: $70,000 – $75,000 annually
Location: Tulsa, OK (role may cover multiple job sites)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Safety Specialist to join our team in Oklahoma City. This role is responsible for implementing safety programs with a focus on injury prevention, regulatory compliance, and hazard reduction. The Safety Specialist motivates and influences all levels of employees to plan and execute every task with safety as the first consideration.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures in collaboration with management.
  • Monitor and interpret OSHA regulations and industry best practices to ensure policies remain compliant and effective.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on OSHA rules and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Conduct risk assessments to reduce workplace accidents, occupational illnesses, and long-term hazards.
  • Support and emphasize employee training, safety awareness, and compliance initiatives.
  • Lead and participate in safety inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action development.
  • Prepare and present safety reports to leadership.
  • Manage communication of safety bulletins, updates, and emergency protocols.
  • Foster a strong safety culture built on accountability and proactive risk reduction.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards and safety best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence positive change across all levels.
  • Skilled in safety assessments, investigations, and data analysis.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to draft and update safety policies and procedures.

Bilingual: Spanish required.

Road construction safety experience preferred.

Occasional lifting may be required.

Truck provided for use by the Safety Specialist
Role may cover multiple job sites across the Tulsa area
