Safety Specialist - Second Shift | New Brunswick, NJ

Responsibilities:

We're seeking an experienced EHS Safety Professional to support a second-shift industrial project in New Brunswick, NJ . This role will provide on-site safety oversight during the installation of a new boiler, ensuring work is completed safely and in compliance with all applicable regulations and site requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily on-site EHS support during second-shift operations
• Conduct routine safety inspections and observations
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and site-specific safety requirements
• Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), pre-task planning, and permit activities
• Coach contractors and craft personnel on safe work practices
• Investigate incidents and near misses, documenting findings and corrective actions
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports

Qualifications:

• OSHA 30 required
• Current First Aid/CPR certification required
• NFPA 70E certification required
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER required
• Previous industrial, pharmaceutical, or heavy construction safety experience preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Schedule:

• Second Shift
• 2:00 PM start time
• Full-time hours with the potential for overtime

Pay Range: $100,000-125,000 Travel | Relocation: Local Only - No travel, per diem or relocation is offered for this opportunity
