What Youll Do
Join the City of Tallahassee as a Safety Specialist I/II and play a vital role in safeguarding the health and well-being of our workforce. In this position, you will develop, implement, and coordinate accident prevention programs and safety training initiatives across City operations.
This position is designated as essential staff and may be required to report and carry out duties during emergencies.

Necessary Special Requirements
Possession of a valid State class E drivers license is required at the time of appointment.
Must complete authorization of OSHA OTI Trainer for 30- & 10-Hour General Industry and/or Construction Standard within two years of hire (one year for the Safety Specialist II).

Safety Specialist I
Hourly pay range$22.0000 to $58.7999
Maximum hiring rate$38.9009 hourly ($80,913.87 annually)
Safety Specialist II
Hourly pay range$25.1538 to $68.2567
Maximum hiring rate$40.6360 hourly ($84,522.88 annually)
Salary is based on qualifications and experience. The hiring rate will not exceed the maximum hiring rate.
