About the role
Our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team, composed of 3 people, is integrated in the HSE department and focuses on effective safety program to ensure risk control, compliance, education, accident prevention, and continuous improvement of HSE performance and culture in collaboration with internal and external party.
As the Safety Specialist, you will work on safety rules, risk assessment, compliance and improvement to support the site. You will get the opportunity to contribute to safety expertise and have a positive impact on site and group business.
You will be accountable for:
Compliance with regulations and group and site policy
Risk Control
Health and safety performance and improvement
In-field safety audit, work permitting support, and inspection
We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode.
About you
Relevant education degree or equivalent in Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Safety, or related technical discipline. Relevant work experience at least 5 years in Production facilities.
Competencies:
Analytical skills with demonstrated ability to analyze multifaceted situations/problems/concepts along with the capacity to venture beyond core competencies to assure overall safety success.
Ability to research and analyze Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as, Global Solvay procedures and effectively implement at the site.
Verbal and written communication skills and be proficient with related PC based systems and programs.

About the pay
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is $93,000 - $101,000 /year
Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
