Safety & Sanitation TechnicianShift: 1st - Monday to Friday | 6am-2:30pm (OT when needed)
Join a local tile manufacturer in Crossville, TN as a Safety & Sanitation Technician! In this role, you'll help keep our facility clean, safe, and running smoothly by controlling dust, maintaining cleaning equipment, and supporting our safety team's efforts across the plant.
Responsibilities:
-Perform routine cleaning tasks to control and reduce dust levels in work areas, machinery, and common spaces
-Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, sweepers, and dust control systems
-Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures for consistent sanitation practices
-Collaborate with the safety team to align cleaning efforts with workplace safety goals
-Respond to immediate cleaning needs, such as spills or urgent dust mitigation requests
-Document cleaning activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel
-Participate in safety meetings and training sessions
-Support audits and inspections by ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are met
Requirements:
-High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in safety, sanitation, or cleaning practices a plus
-Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment
-Experience in a cleaning or sanitation role preferred but not required
-Knowledge of OSHA safety standards desirable but not essential
-Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
-Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
