Job Summary
Bauman Landscape & Construction, Inc. is hiring a Safety Project Manager to support safety planning, field operations, and project execution across heavy civil and landscape construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to develop practical safety systems, support compliance, reduce jobsite risk, and integrate safety into day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities
Lead safety planning and implementation across multiple active construction job sites
Develop and maintain project-specific safety plans, including job hazard analyses, site logistics planning, and hazard mitigation measures
Partner with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to incorporate safety requirements into daily operations and project planning
Conduct routine site audits, safety inspections, and incident investigations
Support compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and company safety standards
Identify jobsite risks early and develop practical, field-ready solutions
Lead safety meetings, onboarding, and training for employees and subcontractors
Track safety metrics, maintain required documentation, and support continuous improvement efforts
Assist with preconstruction planning, risk analysis, and operational safety coordination
Communicate clearly with field teams and leadership regarding safety priorities, corrective actions, and project needs
Required Qualifications
5 or more years of experience in construction safety, engineering, project management, or a related role
Experience supporting heavy civil construction, excavation, landscape construction, or similar field operations
Knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA safety requirements
Ability to work effectively with both field crews and company leadership
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills
Ability to walk jobsites and respond to field conditions in real time
OSHA 30 certification
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 500, OSHA 510, CHST, or related safety credential
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
Experience with incident investigations, safety training, and preconstruction risk planning
