Entry level position into the safety profession. Understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge of those principles to comply with regulatory agency and company standards for injury and illness reporting requirements necessary to document incidents. Duties: Works with employees and assists supervisors and others on injury prevention by identifying and correcting potential safety and health hazards as well as identifying unsafe actions in order to eliminate on the job injuries and illnesses. Assists in developing recommendations for safety processes/programs to attain and sustain a hazard free workplace. This includes design and evaluation of components to monitor effectiveness. Conducts audits to verify compliance to required regulations and company policies and then assures management is aware of items identified for proper and corrective actions. Develops, directs and may conduct safety presentations and training. Analyzes appropriate Environmental Health Safety (EHS) functional reporting metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. Reviews new products, equipment, processes and facilities for potential hazards and compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards; making recommendations if necessary prior to introduction. Communicates and works with safety equipment suppliers.
Position Title: Safety & Ergonomic Analyst
Specific Position Requirements: Max bill rate is ***/hour.
This will be a 1st shift position (7 am to 3:30 pm) with no overtime anticipated.
This is an entry-level position into the safety and ergonomics profession Performs structured assignment that require analysis and interpretation of data and regulations to determine potential problems and recommended actions. Also provides technical support with the ergonomics process. Works under general direction.
" Compiles and analyzes necessary data, documentation and correspondence to comply with safety regulations and health and safety management system requirements.
" Conducts safety audits and risk assessments to identify noncompliance with *** standards, processes and applicable laws and regulations.
" Participates in incident investigations and ergonomic reviews and assists in determining effective correction action.
" Communicates results of analysis and interpretation to appropriate work group for awareness and any required action.
" Conducts ergonomic assessment and analysis of products, processes, packaging, equipment, tooling and methods used in the manufacture of *** products.
" Conduct safety and ergonomic risk assessments on new or relocated equipment to identify ergonomics risks.
" Conducts ergonomic training for supervisors, operators and employees.
" Documents corrective actions and plans to make ergonomics improvements
Manager is looking for candidates who have MS Office experience (Word and Excel especially).
Safety/ergonomics degree or certificate in safety field. Engineering or technical schooling will also be considered.
Manager is open to recent grad candidates
Interviews will be conducted via Teams. Position will start onsite immediately. Metatarsal safety shoes and prescription safety glasses (if needed) will also be required for first day. Business casual dress code. Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position. Position may be extended beyond this end date (depending on production volumes).
