Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Safety Professional / Project Safety Manager to support a large-scale capital project. The resource will provide safety management, hazard assessment, work planning, field safety oversight, and regulatory compliance support throughout construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and readiness activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hazard identification, risk assessments, and mitigation planning.
  • Develop/review JHAs, AHDs, work packages, and safety documentation.
  • Support Work Planning & Control (WPC) activities.
  • Conduct field safety observations, inspections, and contractor oversight.
  • Support construction, installation, testing, and commissioning safety.
  • Participate in engineering/design and readiness reviews.
  • Support incident investigations, corrective actions, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare safety assessments, procedures, reports, and technical documentation.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of safety/EHS experience, preferably on large capital or construction projects.
  • Experience with DOE O 413.3B or comparable requirements preferred.
  • Experience with construction, industrial, electrical, hazardous materials, radiological, or other complex hazards.
  • Strong experience with JHA/JSA, hazard analysis, WPC, and field safety.
  • Experience in DOE, nuclear, accelerator, laboratory, manufacturing, or similarly regulated environments is a strong plus.
