Safety Manager

gpac, a recruiting firm with 30+ years in business, is partnered with a well-established company in the structural steel and metals fabrication industry in the Eau Claire, WI area. Our client is seeking a Safety leader to build and lead a strong safety program across shop and field operations.

Position Responsibilities:

- Lead the company safety program for shop and field operations

- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company requirements

- Drive a proactive safety culture

- Investigate incidents and lead corrective actions

- Train employees and supervisors on safety

Position Essential Job Functions:

- Conduct site and shop safety audits

- Develop safety policies, plans, and procedures

- Track safety KPIs and report to leadership

- Manage safety training and recordkeeping

- Support customer safety prequalification

Position Skills:

- 5+ years of safety experience in construction, steel erection, or manufacturing

- OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500/510 a plus

- Knowledge of OSHA Subpart R (steel erection) a plus

- CSP, ASP, or CHST preferred

- Strong training and communication skills
