Responsibilities
Position Responsibilities:
The Safety Manager is accountable for implementing and delivering results of corporate and company safety and risk management initiatives at both distributor locations
You will examine all injury and accident reports assisting supervisors with accident investigations to ensure accurate and timely reporting of all claim information as well as working with TPA claim adjusters to ensure proper and efficient handling of workers' compensation claims
This role collaborates with management team and human resources on modified duty assignments as well as conduct training for managers, supervisors, and employees on safe work practices
In this role, you will coordinate the planning, research, compliance, and delivery of corporate wellness programs and compile data to identify disease management guidelines while working closely with the steering committee to maintain the wellness philosophy
The Safety Manager conducts safety meetings with key employees providing regular claim reports and following up on safety action items as well as conducting risk assessments of location campus and warehouse to develop safety incentive programs
Additionally, you will review monthly program outcomes, making recommendations to enhance participation of current programs to develop new programs as the Safety Manager
