5x2, 4x3 9hr Shifts
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
At Sibanye Stillwater the Mine Site Safety Manager is responsible for leading the safety and health functions at the Stillwater and East Boulder Mines. Ensuring a safe and environmentally conscious setting for all employees is paramount to the success of all departments. Responsibilities include continued successful development and implementation of the Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health and Safety Management System. The Safety Manager provides departmental and organizational vision, enforces safety and health compliance, and implements successful departmental budgeting practices. The Site Safety Manager supervises and develops safety and health staff as well as provides consultation, guidance, and technical support to site managers. This position interfaces with regulatory agencies at the local and district level on a consistent basis.
This Safety Manager is an integral part of the site senior leadership team. This position helps drive the creation of an engaged workplace culture and provides leadership that promotes exploring innovative ways to improve worker safety and health throughout the operations.
