    Summary: Responsible for enforcing comprehensive safety protocols on a fast-paced, complex construction site safe. The position reports directly to the project leadership team and plays a crucial role in maintaining a zero-incident safety culture on this high-visibility infrastructure project.     Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and enforce company safety policies, procedures, and compliance with OSHA (federal/state/local) regulations.
    • Plan and deliver safety training: best worksite practices, injury/fire prevention, chemical and equipment handling.
    • Conduct facility and project inspections to identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and verify completion of safety measures.
    • Manage OSHA-related duties: inspections, reports, posters, citations, hearings. [cdn.mcjobboard.net]
    • Perform field audits, compile monthly safety reports, and conduct incident investigations; suggest preventative strategies.
    • Review workers' compensation claims, manage return-to-work programs, and protect the company from fraudulent claims.
    • Oversee safety incentive programs and safety equipment procurement.
    • Maintain safety records: incident logs, AHA (Activity Hazard Analysis), SDS manuals, emergency plans.
    • Organize and conduct safety orientations (new hires and ongoing), yearly safety meetings, and training coordination.
    • Support vehicle accident investigations and liaise with inspectors during site walkthroughs.
    • Update safety manuals, emergency management, loss-control policies, and enforce disciplinary actions for infractions.
    • Perform other safety manager duties as assigned.
