Job Title: Safety ManagerLocation: Bridgeport, ALStart Date: ASAPDuration: 9 MonthsType: 1099 ContractorCompensation Rate: $50 - $54/HR Per Diem: $125 Pay Frequency: WeeklySchedule Hours: 0700 - 1500 Schedule: Monday - Friday (Saturdays during peak for OT) Shift: Day ShiftProject ScopeWe are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support a large-scale Google Data Center construction project in Bridgeport, AL. This role will focus heavily on overseeing electrical installation activities, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements in a high-demand, fast-paced environment.The Safety Manager will play a critical role in maintaining a proactive safety culture by identifying potential hazards, enforcing OSHA standards, and partnering closely with contractors and project leadership. This position is essential to driving compliance, reducing risk, and ensuring the successful and safe execution of all electrical work on-site.Qualifications OSHA 500 certification and/or BCSP certification (minimum CHST) Minimum 5 years of data center construction safety experience Strong experience with electrical installation oversight Proven ability to enforce OSHA regulations on active job sites Working knowledge of NFPA 70E standardsAdditional Requirements Ability to work overtime and Saturdays during peak project phases Strong communication and leadership presence in field environments Ability to perform audits, inspections, and incident investigationsKey ResponsibilitiesOversee and enforce all site safety protocols and OSHA complianceMonitor electrical installation activities for safe work practicesConduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job hazard analysesPerform regular site audits and inspections to mitigate riskInvestigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actionsPartner with project managers and subcontractors on safety planningMaintain accurate safety documentation and reportingSkillsConstruction safety management, electrical safety oversight, OSHA compliance, hazard recognition, incident investigation, leadership, communication, NFPA 70EKnowledge BaseThis role requires expertise in construction safety within mission-critical environments such as data centers, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems.
