Safety & Environmental Manager

We’re recruiting a hands-on safety and environmental leader for a multi-building aluminum foundry operation. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you’ll partner with production teams and leadership to reduce workplace risks, maintain regulatory compliance, and improve daily safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver employee safety training and new-hire orientation.

• Maintain environmental reporting, safety records, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.

• Keep emergency response plans current and practical.

• Inspect work areas, evaluate hazards, and recommend improvements that support OSHA and environmental compliance.

• Work with supervisors and employees to strengthen safe work habits throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• Hands-on EH&S experience in heavy industrial manufacturing.

• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements, environmental compliance, hazard identification, and incident investigation.

• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and production processes, including the ability to operate mobile and stationary equipment.

• Clear communication, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead employee training.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Foundry experience is a plus.

• A college degree is preferred but not required.
