Safety Leadership & Program DevelopmentDevelop, implement, and continuously improve company-wide safety programs, policies, and procedures. Lead all safety and compliance initiatives across multiple active construction projects. Establish a safety-first culture that drives accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.Regulatory ComplianceEnsure compliance with OSHA, New Jersey state regulations, and all applicable construction safety standards.Develop and oversee site-specific safety plans for active projects.Maintain company compliance with all client, governmental, and contractual safety requirements.Field Audits & Risk ManagementConduct regular jobsite inspections, audits, and safety assessments.Identify potential hazards and implement corrective and preventative actions.Lead risk mitigation strategies across all phases of construction.Incident ManagementOversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and reporting.Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs.Develop strategies aimed at reducing incidents, claims frequency, and overall risk exposure.Prepare executive-level reports on safety performance and compliance trends.Training & Workforce DevelopmentDesign and deliver safety training programs for field and office personnel.Conduct toolbox talks, orientation programs, and ongoing safety education initiatives.Utilize OSHA Outreach Trainer credentials to provide internal safety instruction and certification support.Environmental & Hazardous Materials OversightProvide guidance related to asbestos, lead abatement, hazardous materials, and occupied-building construction environments.Support environmental compliance initiatives and ensure proper procedures are followed on applicable projects.Collaborate with project teams on work occurring within active school and institutional facilities.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantMinimum 8-15+ years of construction safety experience, with significant experience in commercial, public, educational, or institutional construction.Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction regulations, safety management systems, incident investigation, and workers' compensation administration.Experience developing site-specific safety programs and conducting field audits.Proven ability to influence field personnel, project managers, and executive leadership.Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and reporting skills.Ability to travel regularly throughout New Jersey to active project sites.Preferred CertificationsCandidates holding multiple active certifications will be strongly preferred.
