Lead Safety Strategy

Lead and manage the company's safety department across multiple business units. Develop, implement, and continuously improve company-wide safety programs and initiatives. Conduct jobsite visits, inspections, audits, and safety assessments across active projects. Oversee incident reporting, investigations, corrective action plans, and root-cause analysis. Manage workers' compensation processes and collaborate on risk mitigation strategies. Deliver and coordinate all internal safety training programs and compliance initiatives. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Create, update, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and best practices. Mentor, coach, and develop safety staff while fostering a culture of accountability. Partner with operations leadership to proactively identify and address safety concerns. Split time between the corporate office and field operations to provide visible leadership and support.

Proven experience leading construction safety programs across multiple jobsites. Previous experience as a Safety Director, Safety Manager, or senior construction safety professional. Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills. Ability to influence field personnel, project teams, and executive leadership effectively. OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications required. OSHA Authorized Trainer certification required. Current First Aid and CPR certifications required. Flagger certification required. Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) certification required. Telehandler certification/training required. Demonstrated experience with incident investigations, risk management, and workers' compensation administration. Experience within commercial construction, heavy civil, highway, bridge, or transportation projects strongly preferred. Ability to work independently and successfully lead an established safety department.
