What You'll Do On a Typical Day:
Develop and conduct training for drivers and non-driving staff on necessary aspects of:
Federal and state transportation regulations.
Buchanan safety policies/practices.
Specifically, during Orientation for Road Testing, Pre and Post Equipment Inspections
Proper load securement including understanding of BHRI policies and procedures.
Documentation and route preparation/review (permits, measurements, etc.).
Smith System Defensive Driving training
Assist drivers with inspection of newly issued equipment (tarps, chains, etc.)
Develop and conduct training for drivers and non-driving staff on post-accident training.
Conduct documentation and training audits. Ensure corrective action is taken to remedy deficiencies/findings.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years' experience with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)
Knowledge of federal and state Department of Transportation (DOT) Motor Carrier regulations.
Experience developing / conducting training programs.
Current Homeland Security TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credentials), preferred
