Safety Coordinator - Steel Fabrication Plant

A west Houston steel fabrication shop in Katy, TX, wants a Safety Coordinator who can make safety part of how its shop works every day. You'll have room to grow, incredible benefits, and dependable overtime of around 10 hours a week.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and audit the shop and resolve hazards
• Build a strong safety culture alongside shop leadership
• Manage everyday safety programs on the fab floor
• Keep OSHA documentation and records accurate and investigate incidents
• Lead new-hire safety orientations, trainings and toolbox talks

Requirements

• Comfortable on a shop floor, with strong communication skills
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards
• Prior safety experience in construction, manufacturing or fabrication
• Able to work on-site in Katy, TX, including around 10 hours of overtime a week
