Key ResponsibilitiesProvide daily safety oversight for structural steel erection and ironworker activitiesMonitor elevated work, field bolting, welding, crane operations, rigging, and material handlingConduct jobsite inspections and immediately address unsafe conditions or behaviorsReview and support Job Hazard Analyses, pre-task plans, and other hazard-control documentationLead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and new-hire orientationsInvestigate incidents, injuries, and near missesTrack corrective actions through completion and maintain required safety documentationCoordinate closely with project leadership, the general contractor, subcontractors, and the field workforceMaintain a highly visible field presence and reinforce accountability across the projectRequired QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of safety experience supporting steel erection and ironworker operationsStrong working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart RMust be able to discuss Subpart R requirements in detail during the interview processOSHA 510 certification is requiredExperience overseeing cranes, rigging, fall protection, welding, bolting, and elevated workStrong communication, documentation, and incident-investigation skillsAbility to work approximately 50 hours per week, including some Saturdays as project conditions requireAvailable to begin as soon as possibleIf you are an experienced steel-erection safety professional who can confidently support high-risk structural operations, we want to hear from you.
