    Description

    We’re hiring aSafety Coordinator to join a well-established mechanical contractor based in New Hope, MN. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their safety career who wants hands-on experience supporting both field and office teams across active construction projects.

    This role will work closely with company leadership and field personnel to promote a strong safety culture, conduct jobsite inspections, support training, and help ensure company policies and applicable safety regulations are being followed.

    What You'll be Doing:

    • Support the development and implementation of company safety programs and site-specific safety plans

    • Conduct weekly safety inspections across active construction job sites

    • Provide safety guidance, coaching, and support to field and office employees

    • Help ensure compliance with applicable State and Federal safety regulations

    • Assist with safety training and new hire safety orientations

    • Support the development and updating of company safety policies and procedures

    • Assist with accident, incident, and near-miss investigations

    • Help manage and monitor workers’ compensation, property, and general liability claims

    • Work closely with field leadership to identify potential hazards and address safety concerns

    • Stay current on safety regulations and industry requirements

    • Support additional safety initiatives and projects as needed

    Who We're Looking For:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Occupational Safety, or a related field preferred

    • Construction safety experience is strongly preferred, particularly within HVAC, mechanical, or commercial construction

    • Candidates with a related minor and 2+ years of dedicated construction safety experience will also be considered

    • CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification is a plus

    • OSHA 30 certification preferred, or ability to complete within the first 10 days of employment

    • Working knowledge of State and Federal environmental, health, and safety regulations

    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both field and office teams

    • Comfortable visiting active construction sites and communicating directly with field personnel

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

    • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other standard business software

    • Self-motivated, professional, and able to take initiative
