HiFyve is hiring a Safety Coordinator in the Manufacturing industry in Marshall, Missouri!
Salary: $70k-$90k/yr
Shift: 8-hour day shift, Monday–Friday, with some overtime as needed
Location: Marshall, Missouri
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, objectives, and training to ensure compliance with Federal and State safety regulations.
- Conduct and coordinate employee safety training programs, including onboarding for new hires.
- Perform plant inspections, lead weekly safety meetings, and promote a strong safety culture.
- Support personnel in selecting and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Manage incident prevention and investigation processes, including documentation, analysis, and reporting for program improvements.
- Handle safety documentation, postings, and client or OSHA inspection requirements.
- File claims with insurance carriers and manage open claims at the plant level.
- Conduct stormwater testing and reporting, as well as air quality reporting as required.
- Enforce company safety policies using established disciplinary processes.
- Collaborate with management and department heads to ensure safety objectives are met.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety/health or equivalent combination of training and related experience (construction background a plus).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of Federal and State safety regulations.
- Ability to develop and deliver safety training programs effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to foster a culture of safety and collaboration across teams.
- Proficiency in documentation, incident reporting, and data analysis.
