Description
This Safety Coordinator will collaborate and coordinate within Operations and under the general direction of Management to develop, implement, and manage the safety program. This position conducts safety inspections and training, reviews, evaluates, and analyzes work environments, and designs programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury caused by chemical, physical, or ergonomic factors. The Safety Coordinator will also conduct inspections and support adherence to laws and regulations governing the health and safety of individuals.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- High level of knowledge related to safety and wellbeing in production, manufacturing, and/or construction-related industries through proven OSHA and EPA certifications.
- Ability to apply laws and regulations to work environment to ensure safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 2+ years in a dedicated safety role within a manufacturing environment.
You should be proficient in:
- Manufacturing Instruction (MI)
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
- Coaching and Mentoring Experience
- ISO 9001 Certification Experience
- Workplace Safety & EHS Management
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
