Safety Coordinator - General Contractor - MTA

Our client is a general contractor who specializes in MTA & public works projects, and have been a leader in the space for years - most recently receiving ENR recognition. The General Contractor is hiring a Safety Coordinator - General Contractor - MTA due to growth, and strong pipeline. Our client has a strong presence in New York, New York and is a dominant leader in public works projects.

Job Description

  • Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures for construction projects in New York, New York
  • Conduct safety training and education programs for employees and contractors.
  • Perform site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Investigate and document workplace accidents and incidents.
  • Coordinate with project managers to integrate safety measures into construction plans.
  • Maintain safety records and prepare reports as required.
  • Collaborate with teams to foster a culture of safety awareness.

The Successful Applicant

  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
