Safety Coordinator

gpac, a recruiting firm with 30+ years in business, is partnered with a well-established company in the structural steel and metals fabrication industry in the Asheville, NC area. Our client is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the safety program across shop and field operations.

Position Responsibilities:

- Support daily safety activities in the shop and field

- Conduct inspections and identify hazards

- Help with safety training and orientations

- Maintain safety records and documentation

- Assist with incident investigations

Position Essential Job Functions:

- Perform jobsite and shop safety audits

- Track training and certifications

- Prepare safety reports

- Support safety meetings and toolbox talks

- Help maintain OSHA recordkeeping

Position Skills:

- 2+ years of safety experience in construction or manufacturing

- OSHA 30 preferred

- Knowledge of OSHA regulations

- Strong communication and organization

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
