As a Safety Coordinator, you'll play a key role in promoting a safe work environment by coordinating all safety onboarding, training, and compliance efforts. You'll work closely with site leadership and employees to foster a culture of safety excellence and ensure regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do
As a Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for

• Coordinating and overseeing safety onboarding for all new employees, ensuring completion of required safety training prior to job assignment.
• Managing and delivering ongoing safety training, refresher courses, and toolbox talks for site personnel.
• Overseeing safety training and orientation for visitors, contractors, and temporary workers.
• Actively promoting a strong safety culture through engagement, communication, and visible leadership on the shop floor.
• Maintaining accurate accident, injury, and near-miss records in compliance with OSHA requirements.
• Managing incident investigations, including root cause analysis (RCA), implementing corrective actions, and tracking follow-up.
• Supporting timely reporting of recordable incidents and maintaining documentation for audits and regulatory review.
• Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of site-specific safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Supporting hazard identification, risk assessments, and job safety analyses (JSAs).
• Assisting in the management of MSDS/SDS documentation and chemical hazard communication programs.
• Conducting routine safety audits, inspections, and observations to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Tracking corrective actions resulting from inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Supporting internal, customer, and regulatory audits related to safety and environmental compliance.
• Maintaining site-level awareness and training related to OSHA and EPA regulations, NFPA codes, ANSI standards, and other safety standards.
• Supporting updates and communication of regulatory and safety standard changes.
• Ensuring safety documentation, training records, and compliance materials remain current and audit-ready.
• Assisting in tracking and reporting key safety metrics such as TRIR, DART, near misses, and training completion to EHS and site leadership.
• Providing additional support to the Senior EHS Manager and performing other duties as needed to meet site and corporate safety objectives.

What You'll Bring

• Prior experience with safety management, ideally in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and ANSI safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with team members and leadership.
• Detail-oriented mindset with experience in incident investigations and safety audits.
