About Flare Construction

Flare Construction, LLC, a Quanta Services Company, is a full-service contractor providing heavy, civil, industrial, and energy construction and maintenance services, along with environmental and reclamation services, for customers across Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, and Nevada. Established in 1976, our success is built on long-term employees, exceptional workmanship, and an unwavering commitment to safety.

About the Role

We're looking for an organized, detail-driven Safety Compliance Coordinator to join our Safety department at our Coalville, UT office. This is an administrative support role reporting to the Safety Director — you'll be the organized hub that keeps our department's paperwork, schedules, and systems running smoothly, so our safety leaders can focus on the field. You do not need a safety background to succeed here: we're looking for someone who is highly organized, comfortable in Microsoft 365, and reliable with confidential information. We'll train you on the DOT drug and alcohol program, and claims-specific pieces.

This role does not carry supervisory responsibility or independent authority over safety programs. You'll coordinate, track, and route information — the Safety Director and safety leadership own program decisions.

What You'll Do:

What You'll Do

  • Enter, track, and coordinate workers' compensation and general liability claims in our corporate claims software, keeping field managers and insurance adjusters updated at each step.
  • Review dashcam footage against established criteria, flag events that meet those criteria, and route them to the appropriate safety coach for follow-up (coaching itself is handled by the safety team).
  • Prepare weekly agendas for safety department meetings and company-wide safety calls.
  • Coordinate new-employee safety onboarding with HR, including assembling Driver Qualification (DQ) files and confirming which pre-employment screening pathway applies (PHMSA/FMCSA or non-DOT) we'll teach you the distinctions.
  • Schedule pre-employment drug and alcohol testing for new hires and help maintain the quarterly random testing pool alongside our third-party administrator (TPA).
  • Log and communicate drug and alcohol testing results, and enter them into client systems on a quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis for audits.
  • Track AED device locations, inspection due dates, and battery/pad replacement schedules company wide.
  • Support PPE inventory for the Coalville office and project sites, including helping coordinate orders with Operations.
  • Help plan logistics for company safety training events and keep employee training certificate files current.
  • Provide general office-based support to field safety teams as needed.
  • Become a certified specimen collector after hire (training provided), performing collections at the Coalville office or occasionally in the field.
What You'll Bring:

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or related coursework a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and comfort juggling several ongoing tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
  • Integrity and discretion — you'll regularly handle confidential personnel and medical information.
  • No prior safety industry experience required. We'll train you on DOT/FMCSA requirements, TPA coordination, and specimen collection after hire.

A plus, but not required:

  • Prior office administration experience in construction, insurance, or claims processing.
  • Familiarity with dashcam or telematics platforms, or systems such as Bamboo HR, HCSS, ISNetworld, Veriforce, or Cornerstone.
What You'll Get:

Work Environment

This is an in-office role in Coalville, UT with regular, predictable attendance required; work-from-home is not available. You will occasionally be exposed to field or training conditions during company safety training events, where PPE is required. The role regularly involves sitting and computer use for extended periods, as well as standing, reaching, stooping, and kneeling, and occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs. Travel is 0–10%.
