You will work closely with safety leadership to ensure our programs are data-driven and our safety policies are executed with precision.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Fitness for Duty Administration

  • Policy Support: Assist in the daily administration of Clark's Fitness for Duty Policy.
  • Testing Coordination: Support the coordination of pre-employment drug screenings and the random quarterly "fitness for duty" testing program.
  • Compliance: Ensure all documentation related to workplace fitness and drug-free initiatives is maintained according to corporate standards.

Monthly Reporting & Documentation

  • Data Assembly: Assist in gathering and assembling safety data, charts, and metrics for the Monthly Safety Report.
  • Accuracy & Timeliness: Help ensure that all project-specific safety performance data is reported accurately and published on schedule.
  • Regulatory Support: Help maintain documentation that aligns with federal, state, and local safety standards.

Safety Data Analysis

  • Power BI Integration: Assist in developing and maintaining charts and dashboards within the new Safety Data Analysis tool in Power BI.
  • Trend Identification: Use data visualization to help leadership identify potential hazards and project-specific safety trends.
  • System Optimization: Provide input on how to improve data collection and reporting to better anticipate stakeholder needs.

Field Learning & Site Visits

  • Mentorship Walks: Participate in site visits with Safety Group leadership to gain hands-on experience in hazard identification and job site organization.
  • Operational Exposure: Observe work being performed firsthand to better understand the practical application of occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Coaching Support: Assist leadership in coaching and educating trade contractors on site-specific safety plans.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Technical & Professional Experience

  • Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience; an undergraduate degree in Safety and Health or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data tools (Power BI preferred) and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Training: OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
  • Mindset: A passion for the construction industry and a commitment to building interpersonal relationships with team members and trade partners.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • On-Site Activity: This is an active, hands-on role requiring frequent standing and navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. Requires a full range of physical motion (bending, kneeling, reaching) and lifting up to 25 pounds frequently (occasionally up to 50 pounds).
  • Environmental Adaptability: Willingness to spend significant time on active construction sites exposed to all types of weather, moderate to loud noise levels, elevated/confined spaces, and moving mechanical equipment.
  • Office Integration: Includes desk time in a typical office setting for computer work, document reviews, and meetings.

High-Performing Culture & Expectations

Candidates must thrive in a demanding, high-performance environment:

  • Commitment & Flexibility: Flexibility to work extended hours during critical project phases, client deadlines, or time-sensitive emergencies.
  • Responsiveness: Ability to monitor and respond to phone calls, emails, and text messages as required to address critical situations effectively.
  • Safety & Integrity: Full compliance with Clark Construction's safety policies, procedures, drug-free workplace mandates, and all applicable laws.

ABOUT OUR CONSTRUCTION COMPANY

Work with the best! Clark Hunt Construction, Inc. is a family-owned company offering more than 50 years of experience and tradition in site construction and preparation.

With more than 30 years of experience as a general contractor, and working closely on hundreds of projects with other contractors and developers, we’ve gained a complete understanding of what it takes to deliver successful projects time after time. Our critical path engineering ensures projects are completed precisely to specifications, on time, and within budget.

Even when a project is still on the drawing board, we’re able to anticipate the most challenging requirements of commercial developers. We can often recognize and address site issues before they have a chance of becoming problems. CHC is the absolute leader in regional site preparation for some of America’s largest and well-known retail corporations.

George Hunt founded our original construction company almost 50 years ago. His son Warren C. Hunt has been in the construction industry since 1962, when he began his career with his father’s general construction company – George Hunt Inc. Warren worked directly with Publix Super Markets in developing shopping centers throughout Florida. He was also the general contractor for hundreds of other Florida projects, some of which are Countryside Mall, Old Hyde Park Village, Island in the Sun, Northwood Plaza, and East Lake Woodlands Condominiums.

With the retirement of his father George Hunt in 1981, the building division was phased out, and Warren C. Hunt purchased the underground utility division, becoming a Certified General Contractor in the State of Florida. We specialize in complete site development.
