This role will collaborate closely with the Safety & Compliance Manger and Department Leaders to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements contracts and quality agreements maintaining accurate documentation and support the development of initiatives that promote a safe and compliant.Essential functionsReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Review internal policies for alignment with regulatory policies e.g. OSHA EPA DOT.Review quality agreements to ensure alignment with TMPR operations and processesAudit compliance program across all departments and third-party contractorsMonitor and enforce compliance with OSHA EPA DOT and other relevant regulationsMonitor and enforce compliance with customer quality agreements Organize compliance documentation to improve accessibility and usability.Manage and update incident management system EHS InsightUpdate and maintain Compliance CatalogManage and update Ecovadis solutions and sustainability platformUpdate maintain licenses and permits required for TMPR operations.Maintain centralized repository of active links to compliance regulationsUpdate compliance documentation in accordance with ISO standards.Assist in developing Compliance Safety and Environmental initiatives.Participate in Compliance inspections and assist with follow-up actions.Conduct safety training courses to include onboarding for newly hired employees.Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees.Maintain records of safety incidents training inspections and corrective actions.Investigate accidents and near-misses recommend and implement corrective actions.Collaborate with departments to ensure safe work practices and regulatory compliance.Stay current with changes in safety and compliance regulations.Promote continuous improvement in safety & compliance culture and performance.CompetenciesSafety & Compliance Focus - Demonstrates a commitment to maintaining a safe compliant workplace.Attention to Detail- Ensures accuracy and consistency in documentation and processes.Solution-oriented&8211 Proven ability to analyze challenges and implement effective practical solutions Organizational Skills - Effectively manages multiple tasks and priorities.Collaboration- Works effectively with colleagues leadership and regulatory bodies.Required education and experienceAssociate Occupational Safety Environmental Sciencepreferred or related field or equivalent experience.Knowledge of regulations including OSHA EPA USCG and DOT.Strong organizational and documentation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Preferred education and experienceRisk assessment management and prioritizationFamiliarity with ISO standards preferred.Perform other related duties as assigned.Hazardous cargo documentation and processTravel requiredOccasional less than 10Work environmentOffice-based role with periodic visits to operational facilities for inspections and audits.Exposure to warehouse and port environments during facility visits.Office DemandsTypically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.Requires moderate use of personal computer word processing and spreadsheets for compiling reports statistical data composing memoranda and other similar documents.TOTE Maritime Puerto Rico LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer &8211 TOTE Maritime Puerto Rico LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer &8211 Affirmative Action and a VEVRAA Federal Contractor.
