Job Description:

This is a fulltime day shift position working on a consistent 6:30am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday schedule.

  • $1,000 sign on bonus

Job Duties: 

  • Developandmaintainforms, registers and standard operating procedures forfood safety and quality programsthatcomply withthe SQF program andotherfood safety & qualityrequirements.

  • Developreports and othermeasurement tools which showcompliancetofood safety and quality programs.

  • Disseminate information to plant partners and leadership to demonstrate compliance andopportunitiesfor improvement.

  • Prepare for audits and meet all audit requirementsincluding but not limitedto SQF, internal, customer, regulatory and claims (Organic, Kosher, Halal, Gluten Free etc.). Play a key coordination role in SQF certification audits.

  • Monitor and coordinate the control offood safety and quality documents. 

  • Train leaders and hourly partnerson food safety and qualityprograms and policies.

  • Help define and implementchange management andcontinuous improvementinitiatives.

  • Maintain andmonitorplant partner training registers and documentation.

  • Verify documentcontroland system conformance. Monitor corrective action and preventative action processes.

  • Maintainalignment of plantfood safety and qualityprocesses to Home Officeprograms. 

  • Perform other duties, projects, responsibilities as directed by the Quality Assurance Team Leader

  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed and flexible to shift needs within the plant.

  • Travel (to include possible overnight travel) may befor training purposes

  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices and good housekeeping guidelines. Must follow safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment, andmeet OSHA Safety Requirements.

  • Must be able toidentifyand understand customer requirements.

  • Performallfood safety and qualitychecksfor position.  Follow reaction plan for Food Safety, FoodQualityand customer requirement outages by contacting Team Leader. 

Job Requirements: 

  • High school diploma/GED,Associate’s or Bachelor’sdegree preferred

  • 3 yearminimum experience with manufacturing and/ordemonstratedleadership qualities

  • Demonstrated leadership ability

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Willingness and ability to becomePCQIand SQF (practitioner) certified

  • Driven, self-motivated and goal oriented

  • Willing to perform duties assigned and manage multiple priorities

  • Dependable (good attendance to work and meetings)

  • Adaptable

  • Requiresgood communicationand writing skills, computer skills, must be able to developstrong teamskills and influence others for results, as well as ability to influence change.
