Job Summary:

Conducts defined technical and/or project tasks within the safety/environmental field, leading to the successful completion of assigned project(s). Advises operations on EHS risks and controls.

Major Responsibilities

" Initiates and completes activities leading to new or improved controls.

" Engages in safety projects by working with operations to define project parameters and desired results.

" Presents and provides EHS training, respirator fit testing, IH results.

" Conducts various EHS inspections and audits.

Interactions with a network of support internal to site, internal to and possible external agencies to facilitate completion of assignments. Communicates projects, action status to stakeholders and owners. Provides advisement on task-oriented programs such as lockout/tagout, confined spaces or fall protection.




Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position and provides best practicing sharing within work group. Includes all major EHS activities, so that it can be applicable to individuals with a variety of EHS responsibilities. Identifies, initiates, plans, recommends, promotes, and implements broad EHS programs and projects at Division/Business/Region/Corporate level. Independently identifies required plans, business justification, resources, schedules, and interactions to accomplish objectives. May: a. Identify training and communication strategies; b. Create major EHS processes or systems (e.g. compliance, auditing, incident response); c. Assemble and lead investigative teams to address serious EHS incidents and develop reaction/resolution plans; d. Lead EHS audit or self-assessment programs; e. Lead a corporate Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) program; and/or f. Influence development of external EHS standards, guidelines an/or regulations and internal policies, influence facility and/or Business processes to address EHS considerations, and lead EHS impact reduction within and outside assigned organization.

Education:
Qualifications



" BS or MS graduates having an accredited degree in engineering sciences or related fields.



" Applicable EHS program management experience 3-5 years minimum.
