    Description

    We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sacraments Coordinator to serve as a vital team member at Ss Peter and Paul Jesuit Church. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to coordinate and facilitate the administration of weddings and baptisms. The ideal candidate will bring a vibrant energy, strong organizational skills, and a heartfelt commitment to serving others through meaningful interactions. As Sacraments Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring meaningful sacramental experiences that inspire faith and strengthen our community bonds.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist parishioners and visitors by answering, screening, and routing incoming requests.
    • Collaborate with clergy, religious educators, and volunteers to plan and execute sacramental ceremonies with reverence and professionalism.
    • Consult with couples, families, and staff to coordinate planning and dates
    • Maintain calendar
    • Maintain all sacrament records for the parish in accordance with Archdiocese protocol
    • Attend pertinent workshops and weekly staff meeting
    • Update database with sacrament information
    • Oversee wedding coordinators, including training, schedules, and some recruiting
    • Answer door intercom
    • Occasionally run wedding rehearsals/weddings as a substitute

    Requirements

    • Maintain confidentiality
    • Collaborate with staff and parishioners
    • Demonstrate excellent communication skills
    • Be familiar with Catholic teachings and liturgical calendar
    • Basic office skills
    • Background check required
    • Protecting God's Children Training required - provided by us

    Education and Training

    • at least 2 years office experience
    • proficient in Outlook, Word, M365 products, Sharepoint
    • donor base experience preferred or willingness to learn
