Description

Position Summary

The position supports the Sales and Operations Planning process by collaborating with various departments such as Sales, Supply Chain, Production, Procurement, Finance, and other business functions. The role involves maintaining demand forecasts and supply plans, identifying supply-and-demand risks, and ensuring follow-up on agreed actions to meet customer service and inventory targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and collect data on sales forecasts, customer demand, historical sales, inventory, and supply.
  • Regularly update and maintain demand forecasts.
  • Assess forecast accuracy and bias, addressing significant variances.
  • Ensure demand requirements align with production capacity, material availability, and inventory targets.
  • Identify potential shortages, excess inventory, capacity constraints, and delivery risks.
  • Prepare data, reports, and presentations for monthly S&OP meetings.
  • Track decisions and action items from S&OP meetings and follow up with responsible teams.
  • Monitor inventory levels, backorders, shortages, slow-moving inventory, and obsolete stock.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Production, Procurement, Logistics, and Finance.
  • Recommend adjustments to production, purchasing, inventory, and order priorities when supply and demand are not balanced.
  • Maintain forecast, order, and planning data in the ERP or planning system.
  • Support continuous improvement of forecasting, inventory management, and S&OP processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Preferred experience in demand planning, supply planning, production planning, material planning, or S&OP.
  • Proficient knowledge of demand forecasting, inventory management, production planning, and supply chain processes.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and data analysis.
  • Experience with ERP or planning systems such as SAP.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities independently and meet recurring planning deadlines.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin preferred.
